Bio
Sara earned her PhD in Ecology at the Safford Lab in 2025, collaborating with Drs. Yufang Jin and Hugh Safford. She uses remote sensing to study landscape-level changes and ecosystem responses to disturbances in high-elevation forests of the Sierra Nevada. She earned her BS in Environmental Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2013. She has studied coastal dune restoration and, more recently, agroecology and native pollinator restoration.
